Athletic Area (Fields and Courts) 10600 Westlake Dr Shirley Povich Field, one of several ball fields, is home to the Bethesda Big Train team and the Georgetown University baseball team, and seats 750. Other sports facilities include a lighted baseball field, 5 softball fields (1 lighted), 4 lighted tennis practice walls, 9 lighted tennis courts, a pee-wee soccer field, 4 single wall handball courts and one volleyball court. Fields require permits.
Robert C McDonnell Campground (7 Campsites) 7701 Tuckerman La Campings feature grills, tables, a campfire circle and pit toilets. There are two tent pads, two picnic tables, plus a grill and fire pit on each site. Camp sites are available year-round with no running water between November 1 and March 31
Cabin John Ice Rink (Ice Skating Year-Round!) 10610 Westlake Dr We offer a diverse selection of programs for all ages, with Indoor NHL, Olympic and Studio size rinks open year-round. Cabin John Ice Rink has a warming room, cafe, pro shop, dance studio, internet cafe, three party rooms and coin-operated lockers, along with skate rentals and skate sharpening service.
Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center (Indoor Courts) 7801 Democracy Blv Features six indoor tennis courts, a lounge area, and two locker rooms with showers for patrons' use. Professional on-site racquet restringing and regripping is also available. Restringing services provided by Albert Lee, stringer at Wimbledon, and the French, U.S. and Australian Open tournaments.
CP Huntington Miniature Train (All Aboard!) 7410 Tuckerman La The train is a replica of the 1863 C.P. Huntington, a 4-2-4T steam locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad and named in honor of Collis P. Huntington, President of the Southern Pacific Company. A party room at the Cabin John train station is available for rentals.
Picnic/Playground Areas 7700 Tuckerman La Our picnic and playground areas offer shelters, tables, drinking fountains, grills, restrooms, and playground equipment including ActionPlayland are available to the public. Group picnicking for 175 persons (maximum) is available through reservation. Shelters, restrooms and sports equipment are provided. Light alcoholic beverages are permitted in this restricted area.

Dog Park 10900 Westlake Dr Located near the miniature train in Cabin John Regional Park, this half-acre dog park is enclosed with a 6-foot chain link fence, allowing dogs to run and exercise off-leash. The facility also includes picnic tables, mutt mitt dispensers and water fountains, as well as a larger mulched area with dog play equipment.
Tai Chi Court 7400 Tuckerman La The Tai Chi court is a 48-foot-diameter circle of flagstone incorporating the shape of a yin/yang symbol and surrounded by elegant benches in a serene natural setting. It is located near the dog park and miniature train at Cabin John Regional Park. The Tai Chi court is dedicated to the memory of David C. Chen, Rockville resident and founder of the Wu Wei Tai Chi Club.
